# Additional services

You can allow users to request for additional services when they make a `Room` resource booking.

For example:

* beverages for meeting attendees
* food catering for a workshop
* cleaning services after a corporate event
* sign language interpreter for a media release

This is optional, and up to the needs of your agency.

### Viewing additional services

To view the additional service presets available for your agency:

1. On the side navigation bar, select **Resources**
2. Select **Additional services** under the Resource presets section

#### Common presets

Currently, there are 8 common presets for additional services:

* Light Refreshments
* Beverages
* Snacks
* Disposable Crockery
* Porcelain Crockery
* Trash Bags
* Stationary Set
* AV Support

These presets were created for your convenience, as they represent services that are common among many agencies.

If the common preset applies to your agency, you can assign them to resources. If it does not apply to your agency, you do not have to use them.

{% hint style="info" %}
You cannot edit or delete common presets. This is because they are shared among all agencies.
{% endhint %}

#### Agency presets

If your agency offers an additional service that is not on the list of common presets, you can create one.

The preset you create will only be used for your agency. However, you can only delete it if it is not assigned to any resource.

### Assigning additional services

Additional services must be assigned to resources before users can request for it.

If you create the additional service `Cleaning services` but it is not assigned to any resource, users will **not** be able to request for it.

If `Cleaning services` is assigned to the resource `Roof Garden`, users can request for it when they are making a booking for `Roof Garden`.

To assign an additional service to an existing resource:

1. On the side navigation bar, select **Resources**
2. Select **All resources**
3. Select a resource
4. Select **Edit** for the additional services section
5. Select the additional service you wish to assign

You will be asked to provide additional information. This includes:

* **maximum quantity that users can request for**\
 For example, 50 cups, 20 pax, or 10 hours.
* **user groups who should be notified about the request**\
 Usually the staff responsible for fulfilling the request.
* **notification scheme**\
 This determines the message that will be sent to your selected user groups.

Once you save your edits, users will be able to request for the additional service when making a booking for the resource.
